The prevalence of both osteoporosis and chronic kidney disease increase with aging. The frequency with which they both occur in the same individual is high. How to differentiate osteoporosis from chronic kidney disease-mineral and how to treat each bone disorder is the subject of much debate. Dr. Miller, an international expert in this area, discusses his approach.
