Elliott N. Schwartz presents a talk on bone health in elite athletes. Elite athletes are a younger population that are subject to a wide variety of fractures that include, but are not limited to traumatic and stress fractures. Trabecular bone score, which has been shown to be related to microarchitecture and fracture risk, has recently been used in further evaluation of bone health in these individuals.
